Dr. Emmanuel Vincent is a new Project Scientist with UC Merced. He recently came to the campus from MIT, where he was a postdoctoral researcher funded on a NOAA Climate and Global Change fellowship. Prior to doing research on climate-hurricane interaction at MIT, Emmanuel completed his doctoral degree at Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris. Emmanuel is now part of UC Merced’s new Center for Climate Communication, and is affiliated with both the Cognitive and Information Sciences Program and the Sierra Nevada Research Institute. He has recently received attention in the media for spearheading Climate Feedback (ClimateFeedback.org), a collective of scientists who use a browser plugin to annotate climate change media coverage.
