Home | People | Talks | Graduate | Undergraduate Cognitive Science is the interdisciplinary study of mental activity, including language, percetion, and reasoning. It combines theories, approaches, and methods from several fiends, such as neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, computer science, and linguistics. Our BA and BS in Cognitive Science provide excellent training in research methods, data analysis, modeling, and lab-based research. Students will acquire skills needed to obtain jobs in many employment sectors, including high-tech companies. They also will gain expertise needed for graduate school training, especially in cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology, computer science, information sciences and information management, communications and medicine, as well as for professional training, especially in business, management, law, and education. Students can take a wide range of courses, and are encouraged to become involved with faculty research. |
