CIS Prof. Padilla Designated “Rising Star” for Groundbreaking Research on Data Visualization

Assistant Professor Lace Padilla was named a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Sciences. “The APS Rising Star designation is presented to outstanding APS Members in the earliest stages of their research career post-PhD.” Prof. Padilla was recognized for her groundbreaking research on how people make decisions using data visualizations, such as forecasts of COVID-19 cases or hurricane trajectories.
